Facts Behind the Supplements Products

"Healthcare is expensive."
This sentence is increasingly shared by all levels of society in this day and age. How not? You could have billions of dollars of money, but if you are not in good health you can enjoy your wealth?

Increased public awareness of this rapidly growing impact on secondary healthcare industry. Such health industry offers a wide variety of products ranging from relaxation products, water filter products, air cleaning products and supplement products. Among these industries are most heavily advertised product is a supplement.

No day without us seeing television commercials and print media publish this supplement products. Some of it is a property that has been recognized medical world, such as cod fish oil that helps the growth and vitamin C which helps maintain body immunity.

But not infrequently some supplements advertised with very redundant with the medical facts are very weak, such as calcium supplements can cure cancer, immune dripped fluid behind the tongue that could treat hepatitis B, or syrup plant extract that can cure this disease and that. This second group typically do not use television or print media as media campaigns, they prefer word of mouth campaign to reduce the possibility of demands that may occur.

We must be vigilant in this second group. When we are consumed by promises of "miracle" supplements could be added instead of sound will actually be bad for our health and pockets.
The following will give the author signs the consumer is consuming

a. Supplements are something that is actually present in our food
= Supplement is actually something that is contained in our foods, you can find vitamin C in orange juice, you can also find healthy fiber in your vegetables, iron contained in vegetables and chicken or beef liver. Supplements is actually an emergency way to address the possibility that your diet is less balanced.
If you could meet your nutritional needs of your daily food supplement then surely this is not necessary

b. Registered in the FDA

= Often this is the main weapon advertising supplement products. Let's look at an extension of each of the following institutions. FDA = Food and Drug Administration. These institutions will be given the origin of their products are safe for consumption. Clearly, this supplement has been classified as "food", it actually claims to cure diseases can not be accepted.

c. A good supplement to have research that could be accounted
= A good supplement would have gone through a series of studies with good methodology before being released into the market. Supplements class "abal-abal" usually only include testimonials from users of their products (which sometimes is also a member seller supplement). Sometimes they include studies that claimed efficacy of their supplements, but this study was not listed in journals such trusted NEJM (New England Journal of Medicine), AJCN (American Journal of Clinical Nutrition) AMJMED, etc.. Their research claims published only in media where everyone can express their opinions like wordpress and website of their own products.

Would not if their products can actually cure the ills that still a scourge in the medical world they will get special attention and maybe even a Nobel prize? Why we are hard pressed to find a medical journal? We should be suspicious!

Note: You should not trust just a testimony, especially testimony from someone who benefited from such testimony.

You can check the validity of their claims on medically important web sites like http://content.nejm.org/ or www.freemedicaljournals.com  if you feel the language used in the web is too complex, you can find on Wikipedia. Do not use google because of claims that are not filtered into google so anyone can post their opinions, even without adequate medical basis.

d. Be wary of supplements that did not dare to advertise its products in the mass media
= By entering your ad to the media, it means that your product will be overseen by Depkominfo, YLKI, and medical and professional circles. Manufacturers of supplements are "fake" often avoid advertising in mass media, they prefer the promotion of mouth or through the website or brochure.

e. Not everyone is safe to consume supplements
= Supplements that have registrations from BPOM and the FDA of course safe to eat a healthy person. But there are some specific diseases such as kidney disease, cancer, etc. that have a lot of taboos. Even bananas can kill a patient who has severe kidney disease. So it's good before taking supplements that you consult with your doctor.
